If you’re like us, you love the festive season: spending time with the people we care about the most, present giving(!) and everyone seems to treat each other just a bit nicer. If only British Transport showed ‘goodwill towards men’ but as usual there are severe disruptions across their networks…
We have put together a list of all the disruptions that are engulfing public transport in the next couple of weeks so if anything affects you and you need an alternative, make sure you book your cabs early to get the best price:
All tube lines closed Christmas Day
Waterloo & City Line: Christmas Eve, 24 December, no service.
TFL Rail: Saturday 23 December 2017 until Monday 1 January 2018, no service on the entire line.
Northern Line: There will be no Charing Cross branch trains between Charing Cross and Stockwell from approximately 00:00 until 02:00 on Friday night 22 / Saturday morning 23 December.
London Overground: There will be a special service on December 23 and 24 and no service between some stations. Rail replacement buses will operate.
District Line: Christmas Eve, 24 December, no service between many stations.
Circle Line: Christmas Eve, 24 December, no service between Aldgate and Edgware Road (via Victoria).
Heathrow Express or Heathrow Connect no services to Heathrow Airport ~ 24th-28th Dec
No Gatwick Express ~ 25th-26th Dec
Greater Anglia between London Liverpool Street & Ingatestone or Billericay ~ 23rd Dec-1st Jan (Engineering)

Virgin Trains West Coast routes closed ~ 22nd Dec (Strike)
No trains between Preston & Lancaster ~ 24th – 27th Dec
CrossCountry Trains ~ 23rd, 24th, 27th & 31st Dec (Strike)
No trains between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton via Sandwell and Dudley ~ 24th Dec-2nd Jan (Engineering)
